Following a study conducted on 60 individuals with different contexts and treatments, LED light treatment was shown to be the most effective, as it can achieve a 3-4 shade improvement in whiteness from the initial colour. It is immediately effective, too, after a treatment of just 20 minutes. And a monthly treatment in which the toothpaste is only activated by natural light also has very positive results. Whitening is gradual, but visible.
Blanx® Led Bite is a CE-marked device that complies with all relevant European safety regulations. More specifically, it complies with directives on general product safety and on safety with regard to electromagnetic compatibility with other devices, as well as with standards on photobiological risk. So, it is a device that is absolutely safe for humans to use.
When disposing of the Led Bite, the batteries should be separated from the device. The latter should then be disposed of in a WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) bin while the batteries should be disposed of in appropriate bins. The actual LED, which is located in the cap, cannot be separated. So the whole device should be disposed of in a WEEE bin. It is important to emphasize that these devices must not be disposed of with municipal solid waste and current laws have specific sanctions for people who do not comply with these regulations.
BlanX® White Shock is a safe product range, formulated for use by the whole family. In the specific case of your son, who is 7 years-old and does not yet have permanent teeth, we would recommend consulting your dentist.
The more light Actilux receives, the more active it is! If you are using the toothpaste with an LED accelerator, we recommend brushing and rinsing your teeth and illuminating them afterwards. ActiluX® remains active on the tooth enamel even after rinsing. On the other hand, if you are using the Blanx White Shock Intensive Treatment, the instructions for use are: use 3 times a day like a normal toothpaste. To intensify the toothpaste’s whitening action, you can also use the BlanX Led Bite for at least 1 minute every time you finish brushing. For an even more intense whitening action, use the BlanX Led Bite at least once a week. Spread a layer of product on the transparent support and illuminate it for at least 10 minutes.

The RDA rating for BlanX® toothpastes is less than 55. So it has a very low abrasivity level. BlanX toothpastes have been formulated with the utmost respect for dental physiology and have undergone stringent tolerability tests.
BlanX® White Shock is the first range of products that whitens teeth naturally and without peroxide. The formula has a light-activated effect. When ActiluX®, the active ingredient in BlanX® White Shock, is activated by light, it triggers a photochemical reaction with the oxygen and water in the surrounding environment (moisture in the air and mouth) to produce radicals that are harmless to the human body, but defend it by destroying foreign organic molecules like dirt, environmental contaminants, bacteria and yeasts. This has a whitening and antibacterial effect as the toothpaste acts on the tooth surface by breaking down complex pigment molecules into simpler, colourless molecules and removing the bacterial biofilm that causes tooth decay and numerous oral pathologies. The product adheres to the tooth surface for several hours, creating a protective micro-layer that makes the tooth surface self-whitening and antibacterial. All this is achieved through the action of light. So, even after cleaning teeth, ActiluX® continues to perform its whitening and antibacterial action whenever it is illuminated by sunlight or the light emitted from a suitable source (LED). This process can be accelerated using the devices (LEDs) supplied in White Shock packs as the more light the tooth surface receives, the greater its whitening and antibacterial effect. The active ingredient ActiluX® does not damage teeth because it only acts on the surface, attacking the superficial organic molecules and bacterial plaque that are often responsible for yellowing and dulling the tooth surface. By adhering to the tooth surface for a long period, ActiluX® also continues its whitening and antibacterial action even after brushing. This combats the formation and consolidation of other surface stains caused by food. The active ingredient ActiluX® is not at all aggressive on enamel and also preserves a natural level of moisture on gums and the mucous membrane. For the three formats, the treatment lasts for the following times: BlanX® White Shock 75ml: a whitening, antibacterial action that lasts for many hours after brushing. BlanX® White Shock 50ml + BlanX® Led: a whitening, antibacterial action that lasts for many hours after brushing and is made more intense by the action of the Led light crown that activates ActiluX® when it is still on the toothbrush, so it is already active when it is deposited on the enamel. BlanX® White Shock Intensive Treatment: a whitening, antibacterial action that lasts for several days following treatment using the Led Bite, as the action of the ActiluX®, activated by the LED, is maintained at length on the teeth, resulting in semi-professional whitening. Regarding the length of light exposure required, it only takes a few seconds for ActiluX® to react. The longer the toothpaste is exposed to the Led Bite led light, the more rapid and intense whitening will be.
